Jacob Fassett

Jacob S. Fassett, Jr. translated Pio Baroja's The City of the Discreet (La feria de los discretos) from the Spanish for Alfred A. Knopf, which published it in 1917. He also wrote the introduction to that edition, signed J. S. F., Jr. and dated Cambridge, Massachusetts, October 1917, in which he sets out Baroja's career and writes that the novel was chosen for the series mainly for its Spanish atmosphere. Little else is recorded of him.
